Canberra Construction Snapshot

Construction Snapshot

I am pleased to release the latest update to the Government‘s Canberra Construction Snapshot, listing the major projects underway around the Territory and local region.

Since its launch in September 2009, the Snapshot has highlighted the health of our construction industry and promoted the Territory as an attractive market for investment.

Construction is a major driver of economic activity in the ACT and one the Government is committed to supporting.  The numerous projects that are planned or already underway indicate confidence in the regional economy and will continue contributing to the growth of the region.

The second update for 2015-16 shows that although a number of major projects have been completed over the last year, Canberra’s commercial and residential construction sectors are maintaining strong levels of activity.

The snapshot is made possible by contributions from private and public sector organisations and currently lists more than 500 projects with values of $1 million or more in the Canberra Region.

For further information, the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate can be contacted on (02) 6207 7470.
